Privacy Policy: Private Drive Backup
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Who uses this tool
Private Drive Backup is a private tool used only by its owner. It is not offered to the public and has no other users.
What Google data it accesses
The tool uses the Google Drive scope drive.file. This lets it see
and manage only the files that it creates itself. It cannot see, read or change
any other file in the Google Drive account, and it does not access email,
contacts, photos or any other Google data.
How the data is used
The tool uploads the owner's backup files, which are encrypted on the owner's computer before upload, and removes older backups the tool itself created under the owner's retention settings. That is the only use.
Sharing and storage
No data is sold, shared or transferred to anyone. Files are stored only in the owner's own Google Drive. The tool has no server of its own and collects no analytics, cookies or usage data.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The tool's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
Access can be withdrawn at any time from the Google Account under Security, Third-party connections.
